What's the best way for a person to deal with feelings of anger (I guess that would be the best way to describe it) towards an ex? As in, "I'm happily with someone now and I wish so-and-so could see me now and realize what they lost."

Cait, You can't truly moveon and still wish "regret" on your ex... Well that's what I know to be true... But boy is that hard! I think we all secretly wish for that validation, but in the end, It's more important that you are truly happy in our new life and not looking back to what might have been. You get to that point and trust me the ex WILL be living with regret, but at that point you wont care, Thom

Do you really think marriages get to the point where divorce really is the only option?

I wish the answer was no... And I've known people that have had to work for years to turn it around and have done successfully. But in the end only those in the situation can know when its time to give up and moveon. Thom

This is not a question but I wanted to share! I never thought I'd be getting divorced; but here we are and there doesn't seem to be anything that can be done to stop it. I also didn't expect for our divorce to be so unhappy, frustrating, aggravating and just downright devastating sometimes. My ex-husband became almost impossible to handle, and I knew that our divorce was not going to be pretty. Thanks to the wonderful articles on mediation and getting through a divorce, I knew that there was something I could do to try to make this process at least a little less horrible. I couldn't be more thankful for the wonderful advice, information, and now that we have a mediator we're actually making progress! Plus I know when I'm ready to date again, there is helpful information on moving on with my life too. This website has definitely saved my sanity during my divorce.

I can't believe that I'm getting a divorce... I'm finding myself in a place that I never thought possible, and I honestly just don't know how to navigate the whole thing. I don't know how to feel, what to think, and I definitely don't know what in the world I'm supposed to do with my life, and love life. My recently divorced friend recommended ivemovedon.com to me, and I honestly couldn't be more grateful. I am finally starting to see a little bit of a light at the end of the tunnel! Knowing I'm not alone, and that there are a lot of other people going through the same thing, is exactly what I needed. It even helped me realize to change divorce attorneys thanks to a really helpful article that explained all the issues I was having with mine. I will definitely be taking advantage of the information on this site for a long time to come. Thank you for making it a little easier for those of us going through hard times.
